Port Douglas is small, coastal village located
in Far North Queensland, Australia. A popular tourist destination,
it serves as one of the main access points to visit The Great Barrier
Reef and the Daintree Rainforest. It is a very green, lush and
tropical destination and the locals are a friendly bunch.
Port Douglas offers all visitors the perfect
blend of Australian charm and world class sophistication. There
is a lot to see and do and a holiday in Port Douglas can be as
busy or as relaxed as you desire. The atmosphere is decidedly casual
and long lunches and lazy walks on Four Mile Beach are prime activities.
Port Douglas is located in a tropical climate
making the weather warm all year round. During the wet season (December
to March), monsoonal rain does little to dampen visitors spirits,
as all activities and tours run throughout the year.
Accommodation ranges from luxury five star
resorts through to back packer style accommodation. One fine example of accommodation in Port Douglas is Nimrod Apartments.
“Dining
at Mango Jam was one of the highlights
of our holiday in
Port Douglas. The staff were great,
the food was
very enjoyable and the atmosphere perfect.
We tell
everyone about Mango
Jam”
